Faith Groups (Sunday School)

Christian education for the children of the church is important and Faith Groups help meet this need. Children gather with adults for Sunday morning worship, but leave worship after the children’s message to attend their Christian education classes.

The classes are divided into five different age groups: 3 –5 year-old, 1st and 2nd grade, 3rd and 4th grade, 5th and 6th grade, and 7th and 8th grade. Older youth are invited to assist the teachers with the younger faith group students and can participate in confirmation study, which meets on Wednesday evenings.

Faith groups serve with the authorization and leadership from the Board of Education. The Board formulates basic goals, recruits and trains teachers, evaluates programs and fosters a positive environment for learning.
