Library

Purpose

The library in First Congregational United Church of Christ, Wis¬consin Rapids, has as its purpose to provide information in varied formats for the pastors, the church school, organizations within the church, and individuals, both adults and children, in support of the goals and objec¬tives of the church.

Selection

Materials selected for the church library must be current, authoritative, ef¬fective in style, and attractive in format. The subjects and formats will reflect current program needs and concerns of the church community. Recom¬mendations for materials to be included in the church library will be reviewed and evaluated by the church librarian. If necessary, materials can be further evaluated by the church library committee and the pastors.

Gifts / Memorial

Gifts of materials to the church library will be accepted in accordance with the established selection policy. Monetary/memorial gifts will be used to purchase items from the list of church library needs as determined by the church librarian and the library committee. Such gifts and memorials will be appropriately acknowledged.
